“Orgullo” (Pride) Panel – A Collaborative Event with Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month

This intersectional panel will focus on issues around queerness and coming out in the Hispanic/Latinx community, including family, rejection, acceptance, and pride. Panelists (Nia Avila, clinical mental health counselor; Jose Giocamea, AID Upstate/Pride Link; Alejandro Mejia-Tejada, C-SAGA; Brandon E. Rodriguez, Oregon Institute of Technology) will discussed their lived experiences and some recent media portrayals of these issues.
